Since January, select teams have been able to register for the Europe Select Tournament. We can say that there is a huge interest in the event, as teams registered from Germany, Poland, Austria, Romania and Hungary - but most of the teams came from Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

We, the organizers, waited three months for the direction of the coronavirus situation in Europe and whether we could or could not organize the three tournaments at the Altis Resort.

The good news is that the Altis Resort is already very experienced in the so-called "bubble organization" – when sporting events are organized away from the outside world – as the Slovak Hockey Association has organized several tournaments and training camps there. The most important thing is, that we can organize the event under the current rules!

We also developed two options for the tournament.

The first is that if there are no restrictions or the conditions allow it, then – as we planned last fall – we could organize the eight-team tournament with the parents. What is promising is that we received information that the austerity measures in Slovakia will be eased by mid-April.

The second option is to organize the whole tournament in a bubble – several events have been organized like this in Slovakia lately. In this case, six teams could participate, but we would test everyone and everyone would spend four days at the Altis Resort. And parents could cheer from home, as we would provide them with a professional stream broadcast.

We will now contact each registered team and work out a detailed program.
